XCrypt Inc. today signed a contract for delivery of a DVB-C CAS system to Sfincs TV in Stavropol, Russia. Sfincs TV is the largest cable operator in the region and services over 100,000 homes with analogue cable television at the moment.
Sfincs TV plans a phased roll-out of the XCrypt CAS solution in the coming 2 years. The deployment of the XCrypt CAS solution is the basis of the operator’s plans to migrate its analogue cable customers to its new digital platform.
According to Mr. Klochkov Sergey Nikolaevich, Director of Sfincs TV, “it is the total CAS / security offering and easy configuration of different business models in XCrypt CAS which made us decide to implement the XCrypt CAS system. This CAS system will support us to achieve our business goals and will be a solid foundation to meet future digital TV development in the larger Stavropol area”.
